Spiders are voracious predators, that has high affinity towards feeding, they feed on insects, some other spiders and even small mammals and reptiles.

Furthermore, the other features that distinguish spiders from other insects the possession and modification of their legs. Spiders possess four pairs of legs, while insects have just only three. Spiders also possess a modified appendages which also known as the pedipalps, located right in front of the mouth, which in some species resembles an extra set of legs.
Most spiders possess eight simple eyes that are located right in front of the cephalothorax, while some spiders have fewer eyes. The identification of the various species of spiders is by the arrangement of their eyes.
The lower part of the spider which is also known as the abdomen is the spot for genital structures, spiracles and the spinnerets used for feeding while spinning through silk.
